Sheltered Shepherds K9 Education, Rehabilitation and Rescue is a group that is dedicated to educating the public on bite prevention and dog safety.

Sheltered Shepherds rescues and finds loving, wonderful homes for Shepherds that are in high kill shelters or are scheduled for euthansia.

Our group also rehabilitates Shepherds that are labeled as "unadoptable" due to different issues that they may have.

Rehabilitation gives these dogs a second chance at life by reaching their true full potential as K9's or as loving and loyal companions!

When you adopt from Sheltered Shepherds there will always be questions in regards to training, behavior or any kind of German Shepherd support questions.  We want everyone to know that we will be here to provide answers to your questions as the need arises.

Click on "Adoption Application" and complete the form and click on submit. The Adoption Coordinator will contact you to set up a home visit and to meet the dog you are interested in adopting. We also are in need of Foster Homes for placing the dogs until a permanent home is found. If you are interested please go online and submit an application for becoming a foster home.

If you are unable to adopt at this time PLEASE consider making a tax deductable donation to help care for the many neglected and abused dogs that we rescue. Many come to us with little or no vet care, as well as positive for heartworm. To treat just one of our rescues for heartworm is approximately $550. We are a non-profit organization and depend on donations and our adoption fees to care for these animals.
